The Board of Supervisors has been actively involved in listening to citizen concerns and opposing the MVP's proposed route through Montgomery County. The Board of Supervisors also held a special meeting on June 15 to receive a legal briefing. On Oct. 13, the Board passed a resolution requesting the Governor to require DEQ oversight to protect surface and groundwater resources.

The Board also requested FERC to extend the deadline for receiving scoping comments as FERC prepares an environmental impact statement by an additional 90 days from June 16, 2015, to Sept. 16, 2015.

The DEQ responded to FERC's notice in the Federal Register.
