Probate of estates is by appointment only
The following information is needed prior to making an appointment:
- Original will (if applicable)
- Death certificate
- List of assets solely in decedent's name
- List of heirs-surviving spouse or next living descendant(s)
Use the probate handout to assist in collecting the pertinent information.
Guardianship/Conservator
Effective July 1, 2024, pursuant to Virginia Code Section 64.2-2012 the following information is required to be included on all Guardian and Conservator Orders.
