Beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, August 3, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will replace a pipe near the intersection of Route 115 (Peppers Ferry Road) and Route 663 (Walton Road).
As a result, the intersection of Peppers Ferry Road and Walton Road will be closed for the duration of the project.
VDOT anticipates completing the work by 6 a.m., Wednesday, August 5.
Drivers traveling on Walton Road will need to use Route 11 (Radford Road) to access homes or detour around the closure. Message boards will be placed in the construction area to alert motorists.
Peppers Ferry Road and Route 685 (Prices Fork Road) will remain open throughout the project.
