Montgomery County’s Public Relations and Community Engagement Team received four Summit Awards from the Blue Ridge Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Montgomery County received two gold awards and one silver award in the Tactics Division of the 2024 Summit Awards.
Gold awards were given for the County’s website refresh project and for a public service announcement podcast related to voting in the 2024 Election.
Montgomery County’s “Whispers Furry-Tail Ending” video tied with a video submitted by the College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) for a silver award in the category of a video longer than two minutes.
In addition, the team was presented with the 2024 Lin Chaff Award for Creativity for its Purricane Prep Pawty Campaign. Lin Chaff was a founding member of the Blue Ridge Chapter of the PRSA and was highly respected in the public relations profession. This award category is reserved annually for either one campaign or tactic and all Summit Award entries are considered for this award.
