Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as amended, the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors hereby gives notice of a public hearing to be held on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2024 at 7:15 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Board of Supervisor’s intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:
A request by James Crenshaw for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to allow a Short-Term Tourist Rental using the existing residential structure on property owned by James D Crenshaw and Eric C Smith. The property is located at 2836 Wrights Way, approximately 0.2 miles north of the intersection of Harding Avenue and Wrights Way. The property is further identified as tax parcel 041-A 38C (Parcel ID: 026792), 0.706 acres, zoned Residential (R-2) in the Mount Tabor Magisterial District. The property currently lies in an area designated as Residential Transition in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
