Outside Agencies

Many outside agencies receive funding to provide human services, public safety, educational/cultural, environmental and economic development services and programs.

Since many outside or external agencies also request funding from neighboring jurisdictions, Montgomery, Floyd, Giles and Pulaski counties and the City of Radford participate in a joint review process to consider budget requests. Budget request forms provided to agencies in November are due back in December for consideration. If approved, the funding is included in the next fiscal year's budget, which will be posted on this website after July 1. All funded agency requests are listed under other agencies in the budget. Montgomery County will also send out e-mail notifications to outside agencies with information after the budget is presented and adopted.
