Following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are providing opportunities for citizens and business to apply for disaster relief aid.
FEMA is currently operating a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at the Montgomery County Government Center (755 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg). Citizens and business impacted by Hurricane Helene can visit FEMA's DRC to receive assistance Monday through Saturday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (closed on Sundays).
In addition, the SBA is offering eligible citizens and businesses in Montgomery County the opportunity to apply for an SBA low-interest disaster loan program.
