Creed Fields Park
Creed Fields Park is located off the South Fork of the Roanoke River just past Shawsville Middle School. Enjoy beautiful mountain views. Amenities include a playground, picnic shelter, grill, restrooms, three baseball/softball fields, and a multipurpose field.
The playground features a huge modern climbing dome with many different types of rope for imaginative and active play.
The playground also features a slide with multiple climbing features, including a rock climbing wall.
Get together for a picnic or party under our shelter! There is seating available for approximately 100 people across 14 tables. Other amenities include a grill, waste receptacles, electrical outlets, and restrooms. An ADA accessible path leads from the parking lot to the shelter, playground, and restrooms.
The picnic shelter is available on a first come, first serve basis. You may also reserve the picnic shelter. The rental season runs from April 1 - October 31, and we begin taking reservations on January 1. Reservations must be made at least four days in advance. Check current shelter availability and make your reservation online or by calling our office at (540) 382-6975, Option 1.
We offer half day rentals for $30 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and whole day rentals for $50 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
The picnic shelter is conveniently located near the playground and two of the ball fields.
Enjoy a game with two baseball/softball fields and a tee ball field.
Enjoy a game on the multipurpose field.
A paved walking path encircles the entire park, providing a relaxing space to get in a walk or run.
Creed Fields Park is located off Route 460 in the Village of Shawsville on Riffe Street. If you are coming from Elliston, take a right on Riffe Street and if you are coming from Christiansburg, take a left.
