The Board of Supervisors will advertise its FY 2017 budget at $182.1 million, a $5.9 million increase over the current budget. The real estate tax will be advertised at 89 cents per $100 assessed value and the personal property tax rate also will stay the same at $2.55.
The spending plan, which represents a 3.3 percent increase over the current fiscal year, proposes $1.3 million in new County funding for school operations.
In addition to a 3 percent regrade of employee compensation, the spending plan includes a $25 increase in the stipends for officers of election.
